  • National Park Cave tours: Panama has a remarkable National Park System, covering almost 25% of its territory. The Province of Bocas Del Toro is contiguous with the Limon Province of Costa Rica, and both contain limestone outcroppings along the Caribbean Coast. The caves are shallow, near sea level, and framed by beautiful rainforest canopy.

Panama Birding and Wildlife

Within the province of Bocas Del Toro there exists a wide variety of habitats including lagoons, mangroves, estuaries, coral reefs, ocean coastal waters, and sandy beaches, all of which are important ecosystems that serve as a source of food, migration, and nesting for the Leatherback, Hawksbill, Green and Loggerhead Turtles. Isla Bastimentos is an excellent location to see the great abundance of Panama's birds.

It is no secret that Panama bird watching is one of the best biodiversity hot spots in the world. In a relatively small area Panama's landscape offers incredible geological variation, which provides habitats for a myriad of different birds and habitat. It is a paradise for birdwatchers and any other nature enthusiast who enjoys birding. You will have the opportunity to see and hear Trogons, Ant birds, Forest Wrens, Puff birds, Tanagers, Parrots, Mot-mots and many other bird species.
